Hello out there all of you Gem Steady fanatics! It has been a while since we chatted about fashion with you guys, and today we are celebrating one of the best excuses to get all dolled up... The Kentucky Derby! Even if you are not from kentucky, you can still saddle up for this iconic event. So grab a mint julep, a ridiculously darling hat and your sweetest cocktail dress. 

In addition to celebrating the KY Derby, which happens a week from Saturday, we also wanted to share our latest creation with all of you. Antique flair and many sleepless nights went in to making this emerald and diamond adorned ring. It is the perfect ring to spice up an LBD, or even your daily uniform of black skinny jeans and a white tee. This ring is so versatile and it adds the perfect little pop of color to your jewelry wardrobe. Have yours custom made with platinum or white gold! 

For this board, we wanted to show you how feminine and innocent this ring can be. Sure, it can hang with a Versace leather jacket, but it can also be a total sweetheart. We paired our latest piece with a Giambattista Valli number in a delicate cream satin with a light floral overlay. 

I am pretty sure you are not even allowed to go to the derby without an amazing hat, so we picked a vintage-inspired buff-pink topper by Philip Treacy. We added rose touches with a feather shawl by Jenny Packham and a spacious clutch by Kathryn Allen Couture. Jimmy Choo sandals complete our derby day look. 

Even if you are not heading to the races on derby day, you can still dress to the 9's! Use it as an excuse to feel like an elegant princess, and put your own unique twist on the classic derby combinations.
